Willowbrook Shopping Centre is a proud supporter of literacy. Since 2001, Willowbrook has donated over $36,000 to the Langley School District`s Parent Involvement Programs. The programs include PALS (Parents As Literacy Supporters), POPS (Parents of Primary Students) and MILE (Meaningful Intermediate Learning Experiences).

Thank you to the community for supporting Willowbrook’s Easter Photos and Halloween Trick or Treat Parade, as the money donated is raised through these events. Additional programs supporting literacy include Time Tunnel, an Adventure in Literacy and Willowbrook’s Jr. Spelling Bee in October.

CanWest CanSpell National Spelling Bee 2009
Willowbrook Shopping Centre is proud to be a sponsor of the CanWest CanSpell Regional Spelling Bee 2009. Stay tuned for information regarding registration, important dates, study tips and additional news about the Regional Bee which will take place in March 2009.

Championship spelling has become an international phenomenon, embedded in popular culture over the past four years thanks to major motion pictures and prolific media coverage. It epitomizes society’s interest and engagement in fostering academic success. The CanWest CanSpell program cultivates year-round interest with teachers, parents and students and the communities that support them. CanSpell affiliates have the chance to engage the broad and diverse audiences that follows this process from the local school level all the way to the international stage.
